HPCA annual Conference - 11th October 2023
Our inaugural face to face conference was hugely successful! With fantastic speakers, great networking and celebratory awards recognising how far we have come in professionalising project and change management in healthcare - a truly memorable experience!
Attendees were inspired by the latest insights and innovations in Project, Change and PMO management and explored the challenges and priorities faced. And, of course, networked and shared best practice with other professionals from across the UK.
There was an incredible line up industry experts; Dr Mark Bonne Director of Corporate Services at the Association for Project Management (APM), Melanie Franklin Chief Executive of Capability for Change Limited, Eileen Roden Director at House of PMO, Kalpna Sanders CEO of Citi Limited and last but not least, our inspirational keynote speaker Carmel McConnell MBE founder of Magic Breakfast and Author of the best selling book 'Change Activist'.
We had some great sponsors sharing valuable resources, tools and systems to help us deliver our projects and change more effectively.
Delegates were able to visit our HPCA stand and catch a demo of our new Organisational Membership Offers and soon to be launched HPCA Organisational Members Hub!
The day started out with an introductory welcome from our CEO Jo Stanford, introducing the HPCA and the heart of why we began this rewarding journey of providing the crucial support needed to those working in project and change roles across health and care!
Starting with our first guest speaker, Mike Bonne, Director of Corporate Services at APM, who took to the stage to provide a keynote address on the 'Future of Project Profession'
Followed by Melanie Franklin Chief Executive of Capability for Change Limited, who provided us invaluable insights into the 'Future of Change Management'
Next up Eileen Roden, Director at House of PMO, provided us her insightful session on 'Building the right PMO'
Before we took a break for some well deserved refreshments, we were delighted to have Kalpna Sanders, CEO of Citi Limited, who provided a thought provoking talk on the subject of 'Change Mindset'
Last, but certainly not least of our speakers, was the exceptional Carmel McConnell MBE, who brought to us a motivational piece on starting her charity Magic Breakfast and her best selling book 'Change Activist'
